When I was babysitting my niece at my brother's house, they had the baby camera set up so I could see her on the little TV that came with it. I was studying and about to nod asleep when I heard some muttering and realized it was coming from the monitor.

Scary Movie 5
I like parody films and have watched and own a number of them, particularly those starring the late and brilliant Leslie Neilson, such as the preceding Scary Movies. The prior four are fantastic; they're humorous, and you can have a wonderful time viewing them. Laughter abounds. This one, on the other hand, not so much. It had its moments, but overall it was simply a mediocre film. It lacked the compelling action and humour that you've come to expect from the other films, and it simply didn't accomplish anything for me. I enjoy Charlie Sheen as an actor, and he can play some comedic roles, and this was no exception, but it sort of petered out after that. I believe this is due to the absence of the prior cast. I believe that if all of the previous actors had been included, it would have been a fantastic film.
Scary Movie V (Blu-ray/DVD, 2-Disc Set, Unrated; DC; UltraViolet, 2013)
One of the best things about this series is that the next edition does not build on prior installments. However, since it is a parody of other films, you must have watched other films or have a good understanding of them in order to appreciate this one. Number 5 is based mostly on the film "Mama," but it also includes the Paranormal series, "Planet of the Apes," "Black Swan," Madea, "Evil Dead," "Inception," and "The Help," as well as a few more that I may have overlooked. The Zucker comedy in this film is similar to that in prior films, depending on crudeness and slapstick. The opening of the film is the greatest portion, as Charlie Sheen and Lindsey Lohan jest about their actual lives. Unfortunately, they die shortly after the opening scene and do not reappear outside of a few doctored-up images. It's not for the entire family, but if you like the series, you could appreciate it! Scary Movie 2 is a hysterically funny film! The Exorcist parody at the start is stupid, but SM2 improves dramatically after that! The PQ isn't as horrible as some make it out to be! Hello, Blu-ray.com rated it 3 out of 5 stars!! SM2 is already ten years old, yet it still makes me laugh. Anna Faris, Regina Hall, and Kathleen Robertson are all really attractive! Yes, Marlon Wayans plays the stereotypical pothead, but he's hilarious. Shawn Wayans portrayed the stereotype homosexual black guy, and he's nearly as amusing as Marlon Brando. However, there are two gruesome Ray sequences (the "tucked in" part & "the clown" part). Tim Curry is also amusing. Tori Spelling doesn't do anything other than be smacked by the ghost. After SM2, the Scary Movie series went south since they began mimicking non-scary movies like 8 Mile. The cat fight, the Titanic parody, Shorty vs. The Parrot, The Dress Part with Cindy & Ray, When Cindy beats up the lady & robs her jacket (Save the Last Dance imitation), any scene with Chris Elliott, the Firestone tire, the "lost" Florida Votes, and so on are all funny! lol

Nike commercial featuring the adolescents (without Alex and Theo) and Dwight creating music with the basketball. - Dwight with the adolescents (excluding Alex and Theo) create music with the basketball. Paulie - The foul-mouthed parrot that appears throughout the film is similar to Paulie. His filthy language even rubs off on Ted's teddy bear, which had not yet been released.
Anything of Scary Movie 2's middle segment could be rearranged without effecting much; it's little more than disjointed sketches. I get that narrative reasoning isn't the objective of films like this, but the original Scary Movie had a decent storyline and characters. The majority of the characters in this film, particularly Masterson, Spelling, and Robertson, are basically comedy ciphers with no discernible characteristics. Even Curry's and Cross' parts aren't really interesting; they rely solely on the performers' charm. Faris is fantastic, as he always is. She's an undervalued comedy performer in my view; she never acts as if she's in on the joke, which would ruin it, and she delivers even the smuttiest lines with a delightful girlish innocence. Regina Hall, who returns as her sassy pal, is also a joy to watch. So, although Scary Movie 2 is definitely hurried, it's also rather hilarious. What else did you expect?
